My Wife: The Sassy Blogger - By My Hubby

Whenever I say to my wife she is now a blogger and the usual response from her is of annoyance because she thinks I am teasing her. This is not true as I actually admire her for having a platform to share her view or vent her emotion. She can use her blog to record our family life or her personal life and write about her thoughts or opinions on certain subjects at that particular point in time. I wish I could do the same but I just do not have the stamina or courage that she has.

Look at her blog now. Only after about 6 months, she has had more than 80 pieces in the archive. Though she only shares her blog with her closest friends, it is still an achievement for her; taking into consideration of her being a busy mother and homemaker. Now blogging has become her favorite pastime and she enjoys it to the fullest.

I am proud of her as I know a lot of people have hoped to do what she is doing but simply cannot muster the courage to share the intimate details about their personal lives or inner selves. And one of them is yours truly. I too have the habit of writing my thoughts even before the Internet or blogging has become prevalent. In fact, even before I owned a laptop I usually did it in my diary. The only problem is you can't share it with others because sometimes what you write in private is simply too personal. I guess you can say most people who blog have the habit of writing diary, or blogging actually evolves from writing diary.

I wish one day I could look at my diary (now in my laptop classified under Thoughts For The Day) and share some of my inner thoughts in my future blog. Until then, this is to my dearest wife - keep up the good work!

Father's Day Thoughts - By My Hubby

Father's Day is a special day people pay tribute to fathers all over the world. I am a father myself, so I guess I am qualified to share a thing or two about what goes through a father's mind in this unique day.

As for myself, I don't need any special recognition from my family for the things I do for them or the sacrifices I have to endure to get the things we want in life. As a father, I believe my main job is not only to provide for my family in terms of material needs but also to lend them my shoulder during difficult times and to give them hope during trying times.

A father is one who should be the toughest in the family, telling his family loud and clear that they can depend on him in times of need, both materially and emotionally. So the next time when you see your father is emotionless or composed when bad things happen, don't you think your father has no feeling. It is just that he is hiding his emotion well and only show you his strong external self because he wants you to know you can go to him when you most need it.
